Privacy Policy

What we collect

When you visit gofactai.com, we collect standard web analytics (page views, session duration, referrer) only after you consent to the Analytics category. We do not collect analytics without consent. When you book a discovery call via Calendly, Calendly collects your name and email subject to their privacy policy. When you subscribe to our newsletter or request a resource, we collect your email address. When you ask a free Perch tool to email you a copy of your result, we collect your email address, the values you entered into the tool, and your IP address (used only to prevent abuse). When you join the Perch design-partner waitlist, we collect your name, email, and role, along with your IP address, signup time, and - if you arrived through a referral link - the referrer's email. We also record which option you selected, design partner or early access. This is stored in Cloudflare KV in our account and used only to contact you about the Perch founding cohort and to prevent abuse.

How we use your data

Website analytics help us understand which content is useful to visitors. Email addresses collected via newsletter signup are used only to send the newsletter - never sold or shared with third parties. Discovery call information is used to prepare for and follow up on your call. We do not train AI models on your data.

Third-party services

We use: Posthog (analytics, consent-gated), Resend (transactional email and newsletter delivery), Calendly (call booking), Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection, Turnstile, Workers), and HubSpot (lead management - name, email, and company from waitlist signups; email from free-tool result requests). Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We have selected services that are compatible with GDPR and PIPEDA requirements.

Retention

Analytics data follows Posthog's standard retention. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe. Perch waitlist entries are kept until the founding cohort is filled or you ask us to remove you, whichever comes first. Email addresses and tool inputs submitted via free-tool result requests are kept until you ask us to remove them. We delete personal data on request (see Your rights).

Where your data is processed

We are a British Columbia company. Some of our service providers (Posthog, Resend, Calendly, HubSpot) process data in the United States; Cloudflare operates a global network. Data handled by these providers is subject to the laws of the jurisdictions where they operate. We select providers compatible with Canadian privacy requirements.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@gofactai.com and we will respond within 30 days. British Columbia residents have rights under BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); other Canadian residents under PIPEDA; EU and UK residents under GDPR.

If something goes wrong

If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the appropriate privacy authorities as required by law.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to store your analytics consent preference (key: gofactai_analytics_consent). It records whether you have allowed the Analytics category (PostHog, anonymous page-view counts). Strictly-necessary cookies are limited to that consent record itself. No tracking cookies are set without your consent. No third-party advertising cookies are used. You can change your preferences at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer.
