Privacy Policy

What we collect
When you visit gofactai.com, we count visits with two analytics services, Google Analytics and PostHog, only after you press Accept all (or turn Analytics on and save). Nothing from either service loads in your browser before you choose, and nothing loads if you decline. Each one receives the page you viewed, how long you stayed, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics and PostHog also set a random ID so they can tell one visit from the next. We do not use either for advertising, and we do not link them to your name or email. When you book a discovery call via Calendly, Calendly collects your name and email subject to their privacy policy. When you subscribe to our newsletter or request a resource, we collect your email address. When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email and message. When you use a free tool (such as the BC Deadline Calculator), we email you the result: we collect your email address, the tool and the question you asked, and use the dates you enter only to prepare that email. For the listing builder, the notes you type are sent to a free AI service (Groq, or when it is busy OpenRouter or NVIDIA), which writes the listing for that one email; we keep your notes only while your request waits for your Confirm click (see the exceptions below), plus in our alert email if they show an attack on the tool, and they do not go to HubSpot. For the BC Form Helper, the names, addresses, phone numbers, dates and amounts you enter are used only to fill the official RTB-7 form and write that one email, with the filled form attached; we keep them only while your request waits for your Confirm click (see the exceptions below) and, if you ask for reminders, the date and the next step, and they do not go to HubSpot. By ticking the box on the tool you also agree that we may email you about Perch and related services; every email has a link that stops all emails from the free tools. When you join the Perch design-partner waitlist, we collect your name, email, and role, the signup time, which option you selected (design partner or early access) and, if you arrived through a referral link, who introduced you. Every form also uses your IP address for the bot check and a short-lived limit on how often one address can submit (about an hour; for the Confirm email of a free tool, a count per network that deletes itself after 24 hours); the address is not stored with your entry. HubSpot is our one contact list for every form on our sites: it keeps your contact details, the form and page you used, the time, the wording shown next to the form, and your answers. We use them only to do what you asked and to prevent abuse. Our forms run on Cloudflare, which passes each entry to HubSpot and keeps a copy for at most 7 days so a sign-up is not lost if HubSpot is briefly unavailable; the copy is deleted as soon as HubSpot has it. Apart from the exceptions below, Cloudflare keeps no other copy of your email or answers. The exceptions: a free-tool request waiting for your Confirm click, where Cloudflare keeps what you entered (for the listing builder, your notes), the page you used and your network (IP) address, under a one-way code of your email, until you click or for at most 24 hours after you made the request if you do not; a follow-up record after a free-tool result, holding the tool, the time and an encrypted copy of your email (inside the stop link's code) so we can send the follow-up emails 3, 7 and 30 days after your result, kept for about 90 days; a ban on free-tool use, applied when the answer to a request shows signs of an attack on the tool: for 30 days it blocks your email (a dated note under a one-way code of it) or, when the request ran without a fresh Confirm click, the network (IP) address it came from, and then the note or record is deleted; an alert email we send to our own alert address when we apply such a ban, which contains your email address (and, for a network ban, its network (IP) address), your notes and the tool's answer, with links and addresses made unclickable; a deadline reminder you ask for, where Cloudflare holds your email, the date and the next step until the reminders are sent (or, if a reminder cannot be delivered, for 90 days after it failed), and whether you had allowed Analytics when you asked, so a reminder event goes to PostHog only if you had, under a random code that is not made from your email (your agreement to the reminders, with the wording you saw and the time, is recorded in HubSpot, as above); a count of free-tool results kept under a one-way code of your email (never the email itself) for about 40 days; and, if you asked us to stop all emails, a note of that under the same one-way code, kept so the stop keeps working.
How we use your data
Website analytics help us understand which content is useful to visitors. Email addresses collected via newsletter signup are used only to send the newsletter - never sold or shared with third parties. Discovery call information is used to prepare for and follow up on your call. We do not train AI models on your data.
Third-party services
We use: Google Analytics and PostHog (analytics, only after you consent), Resend (transactional email and newsletter delivery), Calendly (call booking), Groq, OpenRouter and NVIDIA (the AI services that write the listing builder's listings), Cloudflare (CDN, DDoS protection, Turnstile, Workers), and HubSpot (our one contact list - the details and answers from every form on our sites, including contact messages). Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We have selected services that are compatible with GDPR and PIPEDA requirements.
Retention
Analytics data stays with Google Analytics and PostHog for the period set in each service's standard settings. Your contact details and form answers in HubSpot, including newsletter and Perch waitlist sign-ups and free-tool result requests, are kept until you ask us to remove them. Unsubscribing stops our emails; ask us if you also want your record deleted. To ask for removal, email privacy@gofactai.com: we delete your record in HubSpot, and any copy still waiting in Cloudflare expires within 7 days on its own. The free-tool records Cloudflare keeps are deleted by themselves: a request waiting for its Confirm click 24 hours after you made it, a follow-up record after about 90 days, a ban after 30 days and the result count after about 40 days. We delete personal data on request (see Your rights).
Where your data is processed
We are a British Columbia company. Some of our service providers (Google Analytics, PostHog, Resend, Calendly, HubSpot, Groq, OpenRouter, NVIDIA) process data in the United States; Cloudflare operates a global network. Data handled by these providers is subject to the laws of the jurisdictions where they operate. We select providers compatible with Canadian privacy requirements.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@gofactai.com and we will respond within 30 days. British Columbia residents have rights under BC's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA); other Canadian residents under PIPEDA; EU and UK residents under GDPR.
If something goes wrong
If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the appropriate privacy authorities as required by law.
Cookies
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie (key: gofactai_analytics_consent). It records only whether you allowed analytics, and it is the only thing this site stores on your device before you choose. If you press Accept all, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and PostHog keeps a random ID in your browser's local storage. If you decline, neither service loads and none of this is stored. No advertising cookies are used. You can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer: turn Analytics off and save, or press Decline, and the services stop collecting from then on.
